I had a very interesting meeting yesterday with Mark Sturdevant the Executive Director of the La Habra Chamber of Commerce. I don't know why I get surprised by this, but so many local businesses are stuck in the past,not only with their offline marketing, but also with their online marketing. It seems like a majority of businesses are just now tip toeing into Web 1.0 with no concept of what their Web 2.0 presence should actually be. I have to hand it to Mark, he continues to try and educate local business owners. Mark realizes that business owners need to develop an online strategy that will actually deliver the results they are looking for. Advertising without a solid strategy is like herding cats. You might catch one or two, but your going to miss a whole lot of them.
